About us

Aloha Seniors 411 was founded by Don Dietz in 2024, but the idea for it had been taking shape throughout his 30+ years as a Hawaii real estate broker. Driven by compassion for the elderly and the utmost respect for our military, Don dedicated himself to helping seniors and active duty personnel navigate the often-overwhelming process of moving out of their (often longtime) homes. Many of our Senior clients transitioned to living with their children or into care facilities. While most of our warriors are faced with orders to PCS or retire.
Over the years, Don personally handled much of the heavy lifting. Using his own pickup truck, he made multiple trips to storage facilities, dropped off items for donation, and even hauled loads to the city dump. To make the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible, he built a trusted team of professionals—care home consultants, demo and refuse specialists, painters, handymen, plumbers, electricians, home stagers, photographers, and more—each ready to step in and expertly handle every detail needed to prepare a home for sale.
Through his dedication, Don earned a reputation as the “go-to, one-stop realtor” for seniors and military families, which led to a steady stream of new clients. Today, Aloha Seniors 411 has grown into a small Hawaii-based business that helps kūpuna and armed service members transition into the next phase of their lives. Guided by the same compassion and affordability that defined Don’s approach from the beginning, we continue to provide trusted, comprehensive services to meet the unique needs of Hawaii’s seniors and military.

Our Vision of the Future for Seniors

•	The baby boomer generation refers to individuals born between approximately 1946 and 1964. Boomers currently make up a significant portion of the population, and as they age, society is experiencing a dramatic shift in demographics.
•	Over the next 10–30 years, the number of seniors in the United States and many other countries is expected to increase substantially. This is largely due to the sheer size of the baby boomer cohort and advances in healthcare that allow people to live longer lives.
•	By 2050, the proportion of people aged 65 and older is projected to nearly double, creating a demographic landscape that has never been seen before.
•	In short, the aging of the baby boomer generation represents a significant demographic shift. The needs of this growing senior population will shape many aspects of society, from healthcare and housing to transportation, social engagement, and financial services.

Meeting these needs will be critical to ensuring that older adults can live comfortably, maintain independence, and continue to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Is Private Equity Changing Senior Housing in Hawaii?

You may have noticed rising costs and changing names at local senior living facilities. Behind the scenes, many are now owned by private equity firms — companies focused on profit, not community care.

What it means for seniors & families:

  • Higher fees in assisted living & nursing homes
  • Reduced care quality in some facilities
  • Fewer affordable downsizing options
  • Medicaid patients may be turned away

At Aloha Senior 411, we provide trusted, local help for:

Downsizing and moving;  Clearing, cleaning and minor repairs; Staging and Photography;  Selling your home for full value (not investor discounts).
